O.K., I admit it. I don’t know much about cars. The extent of my vehicle maintenance ends at refilling the wiper fluid and checking my oil once every 10-15,000 miles whether it needs it or not. When something does go wrong with Hawk (that’s my Jeep’s name… don’t ask me, he chose it.), I usually open the hood and poke at a few hoses. At that point, my eyes glaze over and my IQ drops 50 points.
Because of this lack of mechanical dexterity, I worry about being taken advantage. I envision 2 mechanics laughing hysterically behind my back after they sold me on new brakes, tires, transmission, paint job and a much needed window rotation. “Why isn’t one of my Uncles a mechanic!”, I would shout and shake my tiny little fists at the Lord above, convinced that I am the second coming of Job.
Quite dramatic.
Thankfully, through a Business Group, I met Denny and Sherri Houstra from C.A.R.S. Auto Repair in Jenison, Michigan. What they do is quite simple. They diagnose, consult, give options, solve problems.
But what really makes them special is that they serve others. For having such a large service industry in America, this is a rarity. Over the past few years my reliance and trust with C.A.R.S. has only gotten stronger.
On top of that, they threw me some work. Gravy.
We worked together to create a new fun identity that matches Denny and Sherri’s personality. The deliverables include business card, envelopes, t-shirt graphics, window graphics.
Here is their contact info if interested. Tell them that I sent you.
